Midway adds about 20 to 40 minutes from every origin. Friday afternoons and the Illinois tollways add the most time — we plan around both.
The Route
From Manitowoc and Two Rivers the run goes south on I-43 along the lakeshore to Milwaukee, then I-94 into Illinois. From Kewaunee and Algoma, the chauffeur picks up I-43 through Green Bay or cuts across to it on state highways, depending on traffic and the exact pickup. It’s interstate most of the way — the time is won or lost at the Chicago end, not on the Wisconsin miles.
