Summer weekends slow the last stretch. Highway 42 through Egg Harbor, Fish Creek and Ephraim crawls on busy Saturdays, and bridge lifts in Sturgeon Bay can add a few minutes. Leaving Chicago on a Friday afternoon adds the most time of all.

The Bay Side and the Lake Side
