Written by the Pharaoh’s Transportation dispatch team, 5151 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee. Our chauffeurs drive between Wisconsin and O’Hare every day; every chauffeur is background-checked, licensed and insured.
Quick answer: At O’Hare, prearranged chauffeured cars pick up on the lower level (Baggage Claim) of every terminal, in the designated center lane. With meet-and-greet, your chauffeur waits inside Baggage Claim with a name sign; with curbside pickup, call dispatch once you have your bags and the car arrives in about 5 to 20 minutes. International arrivals come out of customs at Terminal 5. Rideshare uses the upper level at Terminals 2 and 3, not the chauffeured-car lane. Pharaoh’s Transportation picks up at every O’Hare terminal for rides to Milwaukee and all of Wisconsin, 24/7.

Key takeaways
- At every O’Hare terminal, prearranged chauffeured cars pick up on the lower level (Baggage Claim), in the designated center lane (lane 2), under Chicago Department of Aviation rules.
- With meet-and-greet, your chauffeur waits for you inside Baggage Claim, then walks you to the car, typically a 5 to 7 minute walk.
- With curbside pickup, call or text dispatch once you have your bags; the car reaches the curb in about 5 to 20 minutes.
- Terminal 5 handles all international arrivals that clear U.S. customs at O’Hare, plus Delta, Southwest, Frontier and others.
- Rideshare pickups are on the upper level at Terminals 2 and 3 only; chauffeured cars are not.
O’Hare terminals and airlines at a glance
| Terminal | Main airlines | Where your chauffeur meets you |
|---|---|---|
| Terminal 1 | United; Lufthansa and ANA departures | Baggage Claim, lower level; car in the center lane |
| Terminal 2 | Air Canada, Alaska, JetBlue, Spirit and regional carriers | Baggage Claim, lower level; car in the center lane |
| Terminal 3 | American; Aer Lingus, plus British Airways, Iberia and JAL departures | Baggage Claim, lower level; car in the center lane |
| Terminal 5 | Delta, Southwest, Frontier, Sun Country, Avelo, most foreign airlines, and every international arrival that clears customs at O’Hare | International arrivals hall exit, lower level; car in the center lane |
Airline locations as published by the Chicago Department of Aviation and checked October 2026. Airlines move between terminals during construction; your boarding pass and airline app always have the current terminal.
Two ways to be picked up: meet-and-greet or curbside
O’Hare allows prearranged chauffeured cars to pick up only in designated spots on the lower level. Within that rule, you choose how you want to meet your chauffeur.
| Meet-and-greet | Curbside pickup | |
|---|---|---|
| Where you meet | Inside Baggage Claim, at your airline’s carousel area | At the lower-level center lane outside Baggage Claim |
| What you do | Walk off the plane; your chauffeur is waiting with a name sign | Collect bags, then call or text dispatch |
| Wait after you’re ready | None; your chauffeur is already there | About 5 to 20 minutes for the car to reach the curb |
| Bags | Chauffeur helps from the carousel | Chauffeur loads at the curb |
| Best for | First-time visitors, international arrivals, families, seniors, executives | Frequent flyers who know O’Hare and travel light |
With meet-and-greet, the car waits in designated livery parking directly across from the terminal, so you’ll walk with your chauffeur for about 5 to 7 minutes. See our airport meet-and-greet service.

Terminal-by-terminal pickup
Terminal 1
Who lands here: United domestic flights. United and Star Alliance international arrivals usually come in at Terminal 5 for customs, even though they depart from Terminal 1.
- Meet-and-greet: your chauffeur waits in Terminal 1 Baggage Claim, lower level, near your carousel.
- Curbside: exit Baggage Claim to the lower-level curb and cross to the center lane; dispatch texts the vehicle, plate and door.
- Construction note: Terminal 1 gates are opening and closing in stages for the new Concourse D work. Allow a few extra minutes from gate to Baggage Claim.
Terminal 2
Who lands here: Air Canada, Alaska, JetBlue, Spirit and regional carriers.
- Meet-and-greet: Terminal 2 Baggage Claim, lower level.
- Curbside: lower-level center lane outside Baggage Claim.
- Don’t go upstairs: the orange poles on Terminal 2’s upper level are the rideshare zone, not the chauffeured-car pickup.
- Future: Terminal 2 stays open for now and will later be replaced by the new O’Hare Global Terminal.
Terminal 3
Who lands here: American Airlines domestic flights. American’s international arrivals clear customs at Terminal 5.
- Meet-and-greet: Terminal 3 Baggage Claim, lower level.
- Curbside: lower-level center lane outside Baggage Claim.
- Construction note: Terminal 3 renovation work continues into 2027; follow the signs to Baggage Claim and allow extra walking time from the far gates.
Terminal 5 (international)
Who lands here: Delta, Southwest, Frontier, Sun Country, Avelo, most foreign airlines, and international arrivals for United, American and others.
- After customs: you exit into the international arrivals hall on the lower level. With meet-and-greet, your chauffeur waits here with a name sign.
- Curbside: Terminal 5 has its own commercial lane and staging area, so cars usually reach the curb quickly once you call.
- Domestic Terminal 5 flights (Delta, Southwest, Frontier) use the same lower-level pickup; there’s no customs step.
International arrivals: from customs to your car
Every international flight that clears U.S. customs at O’Hare arrives at Terminal 5. Flights from airports with U.S. preclearance, such as most of Canada, arrive as domestic flights at Terminals 1, 2 or 3.
| Step | What happens | Tip |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Land and taxi to the gate | Your chauffeur sees the actual landing time on flight tracking | Turn your phone on when you land so dispatch can text you |
| 2. Passport control | Global Entry uses touchless facial recognition at O’Hare; other travelers queue | Global Entry and Mobile Passport Control can shorten the wait |
| 3. Baggage and customs | Collect checked bags and pass customs | Text dispatch “bags in hand” |
| 4. Arrivals hall, lower level | Meet-and-greet chauffeur waits here; or head to the curb | For curbside, the car is usually there within minutes |
| 5. The drive to Wisconsin | About 80 miles to Milwaukee via I-294 and I-94 | Typically 1 hour 15 to 45 minutes; longer at rush hour or in snow |
Customs times vary from minutes to well over an hour. That’s why we time international pickups to your landing, not your scheduled arrival, and why meet-and-greet is the stress-free choice after a long flight.
How long to wait before calling for curbside pickup
| Your situation | When to contact dispatch |
|---|---|
| Domestic, carry-on only | As you walk to Baggage Claim |
| Domestic, checked bags | When your bags arrive on the carousel |
| International, Global Entry | After passport control, while you wait for bags |
| International, regular line | After customs, with bags in hand |
| Group or Sprinter pickup | When the whole group has every bag |
Once you call, plan on about 5 to 20 minutes for the car to reach the center lane. Chauffeured cars can’t wait at the curb; O’Hare stages them in a commercial holding area and releases them when you’re ready. Our guide to delays and cancellations at O’Hare covers what happens if your plans change.
Chauffeur, rideshare, taxi or a family pickup?
| Option | Where you meet | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Prearranged chauffeur | Inside Baggage Claim (meet-and-greet) or the lower-level center lane | Price set at booking, flight tracking, help with bags, rides to anywhere in Wisconsin |
| Rideshare app | Upper level: Terminal 2 orange poles 2A to 2G, Terminal 3 green poles 3G to 3K; from Terminals 1 and 5, go to Terminal 2 | Price can surge; long-distance rides to Wisconsin aren’t always accepted |
| Taxi | Lower-level taxi stands outside Baggage Claim | Use the official stand only; Chicago meter rates apply |
| Friend or family | Lower-level arrivals curb, after waiting in the free cell phone lot at 560 N. Bessie Coleman Dr. | No curbside waiting; unattended cars are ticketed and towed |
Never accept a ride from someone offering one inside the terminal or on the upper level. Chicago livery rides must be prearranged.
Moving between terminals: the Airport Transit System
O’Hare’s Airport Transit System (ATS) train connects Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 and the Multi-Modal Facility (rental cars, Kiss ‘n’ Fly, Metra and Pace). It runs 24 hours a day, every 3 to 5 minutes at peak, and the full ride takes about 10 minutes. It’s outside security, so you’ll clear security again at a new terminal. If you land at one terminal and your group lands at another, tell dispatch; we’ll pick up everyone at one terminal or send two cars.
Groups and Sprinters at O’Hare
For 7 to 15 travelers, one Sprinter usually beats several SUVs: one pickup, one chauffeur and everyone’s bags together. Large vehicles use the same lower-level commercial lane, so a group pickup works best when everyone has their bags before dispatch is called. See one Sprinter or two SUVs for 7 to 15 travelers.
| Group size | Vehicle | Seats |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 6 | Chevy Suburban or Cadillac Escalade | 6, with extra luggage room |
| 7 to 13 | Executive Sprinter | 13 |
| 7 to 14 | Ford Transit van | 14 |
| Up to 15 | Mercedes-Benz Sprinter | 15 |
