The Route North
Most runs go west on I-90 toward Rockford, then north on I-39 through Stevens Point and Wausau, continuing north on US-51. Depending on traffic and the exact destination, your chauffeur may instead go north through Milwaukee and the Fox Valley. Either way, the chauffeur checks live traffic and weather before pickup.
North of Wausau the road changes. Traffic thins, services space out, and the last stretch to many lake homes is two-lane highway and county roads through the forest. Deer are the real hazard at dawn and dusk — one of the strongest reasons to have a professional driver rather than doing the last hour yourself after a long week.
