Hourly vs Point-to-Point in Milwaukee: Which Costs Less for Your Day
Quick answer: Book point-to-point when the trip is one pickup and one drop-off and the vehicle leaves when you arrive. Book hourly — also called as-directed — when the vehicle needs to wait, when there’s more than one stop, or when the schedule might change. The test is waiting: if the chauffeur would be sitting between stops, hourly almost always costs less than booking separate trips, and the car is there the moment you’re ready. The Test That Settles It
- Count the stops. One pickup and one drop points to point-to-point. Three or more points to hourly
- Count the waiting. Any wait over about 30 minutes usually makes hourly cheaper than two separate trips
- Ask how firm the schedule is. If it might move, hourly absorbs that for free
- Check the distance. Anything leaving the metro is point-to-point — hours would price a 90-minute drive twice
