Full-Day and Multi-Day Chauffeur Programs in Milwaukee: How Long Bookings Are Built, Staffed and Priced
Quick answer: A program is any booking that runs longer than a single transfer — an eight-hour day, a multi-day visit, a wedding with several vehicles, or a long-distance trip with a wait on the other end. These are priced by the hour or by the route, not per trip, and they’re built rather than booked: dispatch plans the vehicle count, the chauffeur hours, the staging positions and the contingencies before the first pickup. Give us the itinerary and the headcount and we’ll tell you how many vehicles it actually needs — which is usually a different number from the one people assume.
Planning something longer than a transfer? Send the itinerary. We’ll build the vehicle plan and quote it as one program.

What Counts as a Program
| Booking | Why it’s a program | Typical length |
|---|---|---|
| Executive day, as-directed | The vehicle stays with the traveller all day | 6–10 hours |
| Visiting client or candidate | Airport in, meetings, dinner, airport out | 1–3 days |
| Wedding | Several vehicles, several movements, one timeline | 6–10 hours |
| Convention or conference | Repeat shuttles, multiple vehicles, several days | 2–5 days |
| Roadshow | Multiple stops, sometimes multiple cities | 2–5 days |
| Golf or resort trip | Group, luggage, clubs, multiple courses | 1–3 days |
| Interstate trip with a wait | The vehicle stays rather than deadheading home | 1–2 days |
| Medical travel | Appointment, wait, return — often recurring | 8–14 hours |
The common thread is waiting. Any booking where a vehicle sits between movements is priced by time, not by trip — and once it’s priced by time, planning it properly is what controls the cost.
How Many Vehicles You Actually Need
This is the question people get wrong most often, and it’s the one that decides the quote.
| Group size | With light luggage | With full luggage or equipment |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Sedan | Sedan or SUV |
| 4–6 | SUV | SUV, or Sprinter if bags are large |
| 7–10 | Sprinter | Sprinter |
| 11–14 | Sprinter | Sprinter plus a sedan for overflow bags |
| 15–28 | Two Sprinters | Two Sprinters |
| 29–40 | Sprinter plus bus, or two buses | Same |
Luggage decides as often as headcount. Six people with six large cases and golf clubs don’t fit an SUV — and discovering that at 5 a.m. on the driveway is expensive. Give dispatch both numbers when you enquire. Vehicle detail: our fleet and the Executive Sprinter.
How Long Bookings Are Priced
| Structure | When it applies | How it’s quoted |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly, as-directed | The vehicle waits, the itinerary may change | Per hour, per vehicle, {{HOURLY_MINIMUM}} minimum |
| Flat, per route | A defined long-distance trip with no waiting | Per route |
| Program rate | Multi-day, multi-vehicle | Quoted as a whole, one invoice |
| Combination | Most real programs | Flat for the airport legs, hourly for the days |
What an eight-hour day costs
| Vehicle | Passengers | Per hour | 8 hours |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive sedan | 3 | {{HOURLY_SEDAN}} | {{DAY_SEDAN}} |
| Suburban or Navigator | 6 | {{HOURLY_SUV}} | {{DAY_SUV}} |
| Cadillac Escalade | 6 | {{HOURLY_ESC}} | {{DAY_ESC}} |
| Mercedes Sprinter | 14 | {{HOURLY_SPRINTER}} | {{DAY_SPRINTER}} |
Every hourly rate includes fuel, tolls, waiting and multiple stops within the booked hours. Overtime, if the day runs long: {{OVERTIME_POLICY}} Full rates: limo prices.
Booking the Right Number of Hours
The most common costly mistake is booking the hours the agenda says rather than the hours the day takes. Agendas don’t include the drive between stops, the dinner that runs long, or the twenty minutes spent finding everyone after a reception.
- Start the clock at the first pickup, not the first meeting
- Add the drive time between every stop, not just the stop durations
- Add 30 minutes to any evening ending — groups never leave when they say they will
- End the clock at the final drop, not the last event
- Round up. Booking nine hours and using eight costs less than booking eight and going into overtime
We’d rather you booked the right number and used it than under-booked and paid overtime. Tell dispatch the real shape of the day and we’ll say what it usually takes.
Long-Distance and Interstate Trips
Milwaukee sits within a day’s drive of several cities where flying is more trouble than it’s worth, and these are among the largest single bookings we run.
| Destination | One way | Usual structure |
|---|---|---|
| Chicago and suburbs | 90 min | Flat each way, or hourly if the car waits |
| Madison | 90 min | Flat each way |
| Green Bay / Appleton | 2–2 hr 15 | Flat each way |
| Wisconsin Dells / Kohler | 1 hr 30 – 2 hr | Flat, often with a wait |
| Minneapolis / St Paul | ~5 hr | Quoted per route, often round trip |
| Rochester, MN | ~5 hr | Appointment day or overnight program |
| Indianapolis | ~5 hr | Quoted per route |
| Detroit | ~6 hr | Quoted per route |
Two things make long-distance cheaper than people expect. First, it’s per vehicle — four people pay one rate. Second, booking the return at the same time means the vehicle isn’t driving back empty, and that shows up in the quote. See long-distance car service.
Trip with a wait on the other end? Ask about the return leg when you book — it changes the number.

How a Program Is Actually Built
What dispatch does before a multi-vehicle day, which is the part clients never see:
- The itinerary is mapped against real drive times, not estimates — including the construction and the one-way streets
- Vehicles are assigned by leg, so the right capacity is in the right place rather than one vehicle shuttling twice
- Staging positions are chosen — where each vehicle waits between movements, which matters enormously at venues with no parking
- Chauffeur hours are scheduled against the day’s length, with relief planned if it runs past a legal limit
- A single point of contact is named — one dispatcher across the whole program, not a queue
- Contingencies are set — the backup vehicle, the weather plan, the what-if-the-flight-slips plan
This is why a program is quoted rather than priced off a calculator. Two groups of the same size can need different vehicle counts depending on venue access and timing.
Wedding Programs
A wedding is rarely one vehicle. A typical Milwaukee-area wedding runs:
- The couple and wedding party — a stretch or an Escalade, on hourly, through the whole day
- Guest shuttles — a Sprinter or bus looping between hotel and venue, usually three or four times either side of the ceremony
- Out-of-town family — airport transfers from MKE and O’Hare across two or three days
- The send-off — one vehicle at the end of the night
The shuttle loop is the part planners want sized correctly. A 150-guest wedding where 90 people need transport doesn’t mean 90 seats at once — it means a vehicle running a loop on a schedule that empties the hotel lobby before the ceremony. Tell us the guest count, the hotel, the venue and the ceremony time and we’ll build the loop. See wedding transportation.
Convention and Conference Programs
| Element | What we handle |
|---|---|
| Arrivals | Airport transfers across several days and several flights |
| Hotel–venue shuttles | Scheduled loops, sized to the delegate count |
| Executive vehicles | Held for speakers, sponsors and leadership |
| Evening functions | Offsite dinners and receptions |
| Departures | Staggered across the final day |
| Coordination | One dispatcher, one manifest, one invoice |
Convention work books early — often months ahead — because the vehicles in this market are finite during large events. Corporate accounts simplify the billing across a multi-day program.
Multi-Day Executive Visits
A visiting executive for three days is a program, not three bookings:
| Day | Structure |
|---|---|
| Arrival | Flat-rate airport transfer, flight tracked, met by name |
| Day one | Hourly as-directed — meetings, site visits, dinner |
| Day two | Hourly as-directed, itinerary set that morning |
| Departure | Flat-rate transfer |
One chauffeur across the visit wherever scheduling allows — by day two they know the routine, the preferred coffee stop and whether the passenger wants conversation. That continuity is the difference between a car and a program.
What to Send When You Enquire
- The dates and the rough hours
- The itinerary, even a draft — addresses matter more than times at this stage
- Headcount and luggage, both numbers
- Any hard deadlines — a flight, a ceremony, a keynote
- Venues involved, so we can check access and staging
- Who the vehicle is for — it changes what we recommend
- Billing — one invoice, split, or to a corporate account
Program quotes usually come back the same day. Complex multi-vehicle programs may take a day while we confirm availability across the dates.

About the Dispatch Team
Written by the dispatch team at Pharaoh’s Transportation — the people who build these programs, assign the vehicles and schedule the chauffeur hours. We’re a locally owned Milwaukee chauffeur company at 5151 S Howell Ave, two minutes from the MKE terminal, operating our own sedans, SUVs, Sprinters and stretch vehicles with licensed, insured, federally background-checked chauffeurs. Because the fleet is ours, a five-vehicle wedding or a three-day conference runs on our own equipment rather than on whoever a broker could find. 24/7 dispatch: (414) 322-3751.
Long Booking and Program FAQs
What is a chauffeur program?
Any booking longer than a single transfer — a full day, a multi-day visit, a multi-vehicle wedding, or a long-distance trip with waiting. It’s planned and quoted as a whole rather than as separate rides.
What’s the minimum for hourly service?
{{HOURLY_MINIMUM}}
How much is an eight-hour day?
It depends on the vehicle — sedan, SUV, Escalade or Sprinter each have their own hourly rate, and eight hours is that rate times eight, with fuel, tolls and waiting included.
How many vehicles do I need for my group?
Up to 3 in a sedan, 6 in an SUV, 14 in a Sprinter, and 15 or more needs two vehicles. Luggage often decides before headcount does.
What happens if the day runs longer than booked?
{{OVERTIME_POLICY}} Booking an extra hour up front usually costs less than going into overtime.
Do I get the same chauffeur across a multi-day booking?
Wherever scheduling allows, yes — and it makes a noticeable difference by the second day.
How far ahead should I book a program?
Weddings and conventions months ahead. Executive visits a week or two. Same-day is sometimes possible for single vehicles.
Can you handle several vehicles on the same date?
Yes. We own our fleet, so a multi-vehicle program runs on our own equipment.
How do long-distance trips get priced?
Per route rather than per hour, with the return leg factored in if you book both directions together.
Is it cheaper to book the return at the same time?
Usually, because the vehicle isn’t returning empty. Ask when you enquire.
Can a program be billed to one invoice?
Yes — one invoice per program, or to a corporate account with cost centers.
What do you need from me to quote it?
Dates, a draft itinerary with addresses, headcount and luggage, any hard deadlines, and the venues involved.
